Where to Buy Beagle Puppies
68They are cute, cuddly, adorable, social and fun loving - it is no wonder why many people are interested to buy beagle puppies. I have two beagles and I can personally say that they are the sweetest and gentlest dogs I have had so far. A beagle is one of the most popular breeds in the US and there are several reasons for this. Being good natured dogs, beagles are quite popular among families and they do extremely well with children. Because of their natural hunting instincts, beagles would also make good hunting dogs. Also, beagles do not require too much time for grooming. They do not give out strong doggy odor and only need baths with mild soap as necessary. They do not shed too much hair as well. As much as people would want to immediately buy beagle puppies, there are guidelines which they should follow so that they are able to get the best and the healthiest of this dog breed.
Before you buy beagle puppies, it is important to look for good beagle breeders. Good and reputable beagle breeders take exceptional care of their puppies. They keep a record of each puppy and they make sure the beagles are screened by veterinarians for any genetic or medical condition. Good breeders also keep their immunization and other shots up-to-date. Most of the time, they have their beagles spayed or neutered. Reputable breeders also rarely sell their puppies to pet stores and instead, they have their own kennels. Good beagle breeders also have reliable references which include the American Kennel Club (AKC). On the other hand, you should avoid bad beagle breeders. It may not be a good idea to buy beagle puppies from them. They tend to over breed their beagles if only for profit. Most of the time too, they do not keep the puppies in a good environment which in turn affects a beagle's overall health. To know if a breeder is reputable or not, it is best to ask the AKC as they have a list of good dog breeders in the country. They will also be able to suggest one for you in case you do not know of one. It is also a good idea to ask your veterinarian. He or she will definitely be able to recommend to you a good breeder to buy beagle puppies from.
When you have chosen your breeder of choice, it is time to visit him or her to select the puppy you will be bringing home. Observe the litter and look for a puppy who seems confident, playful and curious. You may want to play with them and see how they interact with you. Upon buying the beagle puppy you fell in love with, you should take him to your veterinarian to have a quick check-up - just to make sure he is healthy and does not need any medical attention. Once he is cleared, it is time to take him to his new home and welcome him to the family!

We have a beagle who is pretty much the center of the family. She makes us laugh all the time!

I love Beagles. I grew up with them. My father raised them. Much of what you say is true. However, since beagles are hounds and bred to hunt they are high energy dogs. They can also be difficult to train, and their nose will take them places you don's want them to go. I'd suggest that anyone considering the purchase of a beagle really learn a lot about them or you may find yourself with a pint sized disappointment.
