Biotin can also helps the hair follicles become thicker and stronger. To give you an idea of how good this vitamin is for hair loss, dermatologists recommend it to their clients who have thinning hair. Biotin can be found in food such as liver and eggs. This may not be enough though so you should consider taking Biotin supplements.

  • Vitamin A

Vitamin A is perhaps one of the most important vitamin for the prevention of hair loss. Vitamin A is important in developing healthy cells and tissues in the body. Deficiency in this vitamin can cause thicker scalp, dry hair and dandruff. It is also important to know that there are factors that can inhibit the said vitamin such as smoking, air pollution, excessive sun exposure, laxatives and aspirin. Food that are rich in Vitamin A include liver, fish oil and eggs. However, keep in mind that taking too much of it can ironically cause Vitamin A. If you would want to try it, it is best to speak with your doctor as he or she can advise you how much Vitamin A you can take.

  • Vitamin E

Vitamin E is known for its moisturizing effects, In fact, people who have dry skin are advised to take it regularly. But did you known that Vitamin E also can also be beneficial to the hair and scalp? When the scalp is properly hydrated, the condition of the hair is improved and it helps to prevent hair loss as well. Vitamin E improves blood circulation on the scalp and this helps in the production of new hair. Vitamin E can be taken in supplement form and can be acquired by eating food that are rich in it including grains, green leafy vegetables and nuts.

Vitamins and minerals that should also be taken regularly include B complex, C, Beta Carotene, Zinc, Copper and Magnesium. When taking vitamins for hair loss, you should wait for at least a month before you can start noticing the results. It is also best to have a proper diet and to be physically active to be healthy overall.

Thanks for the info Nina's World. Since alot of our vegatables come from areas that are overfarmed and who knows what type of conditions, it's important to use supplements and the more natural the better. Becareful to read labels.
