Palm Beach Resort in Batangas, Philippines

Located along the famous Laiya shoreline, Palm Beach Resort is one of the best beaches in Batangas, Philippines. My family and I went on a vacation there last February. It wasn't summer yet in the Philippines then (Philippine summer starts around March and ends in June) but thankfully, the weather was kind to us. It felt like it was summer anyway. To get to the beach resort itself, you will have to pass through very steep, scary roads. It was all worth it though. The view of the beach took my breath away - clear water, blue skies, white sand. I have been to several beaches in the Philippines but this beach resort stood out for me. This is probably because of its isolation from other beach resorts nearby. It's as if you are far from civilization, which is either a good thing or a terrible thing. There though, you wouldn't even give a thought to it. However for a beach resort to be considered one of the best, it needs to have top notch accommodation and other services. Palm Beach Resort did not disappoint. Rooms are spacious, clean and are equipped with cable TVs and refrigerator and have a beautiful view of the beach as well. The resort has a pavillion which is open and serves coffee 24 hours a day. It is a WIFI zone so you can hang out there with your laptop or mobile. The paviliion is also where breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between snacks are served. Authentic Filipino food is served so not only was the trip we took one for the sight, it was one for the taste buds as well.

The beach resort also boasts of an infinity pool and a jacuzzi. Should you get tired of the beach, you can always choose to swim in the pool which has an impressive view of the beach. There are also various activities which you can do including kayaking, jetskiing and riding speed boats. We went snorkeling and it was absolutely fun. A boat took us to a snorkeling spot which is some 15 minutes away from the shore. Water in that spot was incredibly clear that you can see coral reefs and fish underwater. On our way back, we could clearly see hundreds of jellyfish. It was both an amazing and scary sight as I kept on imagining how painful it would be to be stung by that many jellyfish. Our first night there was quite incredible. The tide became too low that rocks appeared in the ocean. We were able to walk on the rocks and went to the edge of it. It was as if we were walking on water. The night sky was just as beautiful too.

Leaving such a beautiful place is always hard. Even a week long stay would seem short when you are in a beach resort as wonderful as Palm Beach. Among all the beaches I have visited in the Philippines, I must say that this is one of the best I have been to so far. It also is one of the most memorable vacations I had with my family. We are already planning our next vacation to other Philippine beaches but certainly, we will go back to Palm Beach in the coming years.
