Cover it with bandage to make sure the pulp stays. Remove it the following morning and rinse with cold water. When using potato as a natural remedy for warts, it is advisable to use it immediately and discard the juice or pulp that you were not able to use. When the juice or pulp comes in contact with oxygen, it loses its potency to treat warts.
Marigold
Marigold is another known natural remedy for warts. Both the juice from its leaves and the sap from the stem are used to treat warts. To use marigold, soak a handful of leaves in warm water. After 20 minutes, take the leaves and shake off excess water. Blend this to form a thick paste. Apply it liberally to the wart and cover it with a clean cloth to make sure the paste stays. Leave it for at least an hour before cleaning the area with cold water. Continuously do this for at least a couple of weeks.
Onions
Onion juice is a good natural home remedy for warts. It is effective in improving the circulation of the blood. Using a cotton bud, apply onion juice to the wart and leave it to dry. It is best to wash it off naturally when you go for a shower. It is not advisable to use it on the face though. Because it is too potent, the facial skin might get irritated and have a reaction. Most often, onion juice is used on warts on the hands and feet. Still, do ask your dermatologist if you can do this particular home remedy for warts.
A good home remedy for warts which should definitely be tried is with the use of castor oil. Rub it on the warts continuously for several months to see results. Another good way to treat and prevent warts is by adopting an all-fruit diet. Three meals consisting of fruits such as oranges, apples, mangoes, grapes, papayas, bananas, pears and pineapples should be taken every 5 hours. This can be continued until the condition of the skin improves.
