Although you can easily buy a guitar pedal board online, it can be quite expensive more so if you are a teenager who would like to hone his or her guitar playing skills. As all guitar players would know, having your guitar pedal boards is important particularly if you are serious in this hobby or passion of yours. Making your own guitar pedal boards is simple so instead of spending up to $200 or more on it, you may want to consider making it at home. You can do it on your own but if you want to make it more fun, you can ask your friends or perhaps someone in your family to help you make your guitar pedal boards.
- The first step in making your own guitar pedal boards is by determining what materials you will be using. You can use aluminum if you want a sturdy board but typically, a medium sized piece of wood would do. Using a saw, cut the plywood into a square that will be big enough to hold your pedals and probably have extra space to hold one or two more.
- Next, saw the 2 x 2 lumber into three pieces that are measured 1 1/2 feet. It is important to make sure that it has the same measurement as your square (refer to Step 1).
- Using a superglue or screws, apply the three lumbers to your square - two on each sides and one on the middle. If you will be attaching the lumbers using a screw, be careful so that the screw will not go through the floor.
- Prepare another square of the same size and attach it to the back of the pedal boards.
- Paint your guitar pedal boards with black paint and leave it to dry. Next, attach strips of heavy duty Velcro to the pedal board. You may want to screw the Velcro onto the board to make sure that it stays in place.
- Determine what your power provider will be. You can use a power prick which is designed particularly for guitar pedals but this can be quite expensive. Research online and you will definitely be able to find great deals on power adapters. You should also learn which one of these will cost the least. Also, you should get one that will work best with the space that you have.
After doing these steps, you are ready to hook up and configure your guitar board pedals. It is this simple to make your own guitar pedals at home.

Awesome hub! I used to use these pedal boards back when I was playing guitar. They used to get ridiculously full of effects boxes to the point where I would need to have 2 or 3 boards just to fit them all together.
