Facial Cleansers for Different Skin Types
By Nina'sWorld
Keeping the facial skin looking great and beautiful is one of the most important things for women. Although doing this can be fairly simple, a lot of women find it quite complicated to have clear and glowing skin all year round. Many women regularly clean their face but some may still have problems with their skin. This is because women think that they can clean their face with just about any cleanser. This is one of the biggest mistakes that people make when it comes to their facial skin. When choosing facial cleansers, it is important to first determine what your skin type is. There are basically four skin types: dry, combination, oily and sensitive. If you use a facial cleanser that is not right for the skin type that you have, it may only worsen your problem and this will make it even more difficult for you to keep it under control. If you are one of the women who has this problem, you have come to the right hub. Read more to know what facial cleanser you should use.
- Oily Skin
Although other skin types have its own problems, many women think that having oily skin can be very troubling and it is understandable why. When sebaceous glands produce too much oil, it can lead to acne breakouts which in turn can become acne scars if not properly treated. Aside from that, people with oily skin also tend to have larger skin pores which means that dirt can easily penetrate it.
Facial cleansers for oily skin types are formulated to clean the pores properly without making it dry. If you have oily skin, you should try using gel facial cleansers instead of bar or creamy soaps. This is because gel cleansers are able to absorb oil better. Clinique has great facial products for oily skin types that are worth checking out.
- Dry Skin
People with dry skin tend to have small pores so the pore appearance will not be a problem for them. However, what they need to do is to keep their skin properly hydrated. If this is not done, the skin will look too dry and flaky. Although many women think that they can treat this by using a facial moisturizer, it is important to use a facial cleanser that will also help to prevent dehydration of the facial skin.
Because moisturizing the skin will be your main concern, you should try looking for facial cleansers that have Vitamins A, C and E as these are good in nourishing the skin. You should try using creamy cleansers that have low alcohol content and does not contain too much chemicals. A good facial cleanser to use is Cetaphil.
- Combination Skin
Having combination skin really can be difficult as you have to deal with both oily and dry skin areas on your skin. This means that you will have the problems that people with oily and dry skin types have such as having shiny face, acne and flaky skin.
The best thing to do in this case is to use two different facial cleansers as necessary. It is recommended to wash the t-zone area with a glycerin-based facial cleanser while the dry areas with a cleanser that is alcohol-free. Cleansers that contain Aloe Vera and Chamomile are good products to use.
- Sensitive Skin
It can really be complicated to choose what facial cleanser to use if you have sensitive skin. You should be able to use one that will properly remove dirt from the pores without leaving it irritated more so as this skin type is quite prone to allergy.
If you have this sin type, you should go for mild or cream based facial cleansers that are both alcohol and odor free. You may also want to use cleansers that have organic ingredients such as Lavender and Olive Oil as these are good in keeping the skin beautiful without leaving too dry or oily.
It is important to first try a product before you decide to use it in the long term. You should definitely do an allergy test if only to see if the facial cleanser will work for you and your skin type.
